U13 Selection Policy

The U13’s will no longer have ‘A’ and ‘B’ squads and teams will be picked on the “3 As” - Ability, Attendance and Attitude.

 For fixtures against stronger opposition, we will be taking 23 players for each match (picking from the top and down), unless the opposition has a larger squad, when we will take ALL players who are available. For fixtures against smaller clubs we will also take 23 players (picking from the bottom and up).

 Although player selection will be determined partly by attendance at training, consideration will be given to the reason for non-attendance. Please inform the coaches in advance if you cannot attend.

With the quality of the squad we have, nobody can just turn up for matches and expect to push for first choice in their preferred position.

 Please note that there will be NO training on Sundays where we have a match scheduled. Wednesday is training night.

 Players must respond by Friday morning at 11.00 via Teambug for team selection. Failure to do so will mean the position will be re-allocated. We will not chase your reply or assume you are playing, as we need to know definite numbers.

 At home matches, players are expected to turn up at 10am to allow for a warm-up before the start of the match.

 PLEASE LET ME KNOW OF ANY SUNDAYS THIS SEASON ON WHICH YOU ARE UNAVAILABLE TO PLAY, DUE TO OTHER COMMITMENTS, SO THE COACHES CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
