Diss 61, Wymondham 17
Wymondham made a good early start, exerting pressure on the Diss line. Some last ditch tackles by some, including Danny, saved a number of tries.
Wymondham broke the deadlock with an early try scored by Matt Miners.
Wymondham continued to be frustrated by some excellent counter-rucking by Diss. Wymondham again pressured the Diss line but little errors began to creep in and scores were not made.
Diss began to exert their dominance and scored two tries late in the half to take their half time lead to 14-5.
Diss began the second half as they had ended the first and began to score tries, largely at will (sorry, Will!). Five tries eschewed before Wymondham, and Matt, scored their second of the game. From time to time Wymondham applied some pressure but mistakes and poor tackling did not allow this to be rewarded. Diss scored another 3 tries before Wymondham, in the guise of Olly Colemen who crashed over from a) 3 or b) 30 meters (delete as necessary) earning himself the “Healthy Eating” pork scratcing award of the week. Matt Miners was MVP for his work in the loose (and scoring 2 tries)
